Tunable, MultiSpectral LED Line Light with up to 12 different wavelengths

COBRA™ MultiSpec multispectral LED line light has been designed to deliver tunable multispectral light allowing you to optimize image acquisition. Offering discrete control of up to twelve different wavelengths from 365nm to 1650nm via an intuitive graphical user interface, you can maximize contrast by choosing the optimum spectral profile and providing more intensity at specific wavelengths to suit your application needs.

COBRA MultiSpec delivers multispectral tunable illumination allowing users to optimize the spectrum to maximize contrast, compensate for camera sensitivity, and deliver clearer, higher resolution images for increased accuracy and speed. Precise control of the light via its user-friendly GUI allows system designers to easily fine-tune the performance of their system. Discrete control of each wavelength allows users to select the optimum wavelength balancing and relative intensities specific to the application needs.

RGB-IR, RGB-White, and RGB-SWIR LED Line Lights

RGB-IR (855nm),  RGB-White (3500K), and RGB-SWIR (1150nm, 1450 nm ) COBRA MultiSpec line lights are now available as standard, offering ideal solutions for a wide variety of multispectral applications including food sorting and currency inspection. Custom lights of up to 12 wavelengths from 365nm – 1700nm can also be delivered.

Wavelengths from 365nm to 1700nm

UV, Visible & IR wavelengths are available along with a wide range of optical options to ensure the optimum illumination for your application. COBRA MultiSpec is available in wavelengths from 365nm – 1700nm and available in configurations from two to twelve wavelengths in a compact form factor.

Exceptional Strobe Capability

To enable rapid data acquisition and analysis, COBRA MultiSpec’s exceptional strobe capability allows multispectral strobe patterns to be configured, and up to four optically independent strobe lines pulsed either simultaneously or sequentially with a combined delay and response time of less than one microsecond (1μs).

New COBRA MultiSpec RGB-SWIR

ProPhotonix recently launched a new standard configuration of its award-winning COBRA MultiSpec range – the COBRA MultiSpec RGB-SWIR. The new configuration has been designed to deliver high-powered RGB light (445nm, 532nm, 630nm) in combination with dedicated SWIR wavelengths (1150nm, 1450nm) within a single line light source. Through the use of Chip-on-Board technology and independent, on-board strobe capabilities; this COBRA MultiSpec RGB-SWIR offers the possibility to significantly simplify and improve the performance of your vision system.

RGB-SWIR Applications

The new multispectral line light’s RGB wavelengths have been selected to provide identification or characterization in the visible part of the spectrum. The SWIR wavelengths selected are well-suited to moisture detection in products such as rice or grains, as well as plastic contaminant identification in the food sorting process. SWIR wavelengths can also be used to differentiate between organic and inorganic matter both within the food sorting process and package inspection industry.
