Patient Alignment Systems

Laser diode modules enable accurate patient alignment for CT scanners, MRI machines and  X-ray systems, improving image quality by ensuring that the patient is positioned correctly.  With laser line and cross modules, it is possible to accurately target the medical instruments to achieve the best possible results from the instruments. Our standard range includes red and green lasers, offering high visibility for alignment, and our cross and line optics simplifies your procedures.

Soft Tissue Treatment

Laser diode modules are also used in soft tissue treatments in the dentistry field. Laser technology can be used to remove diseased or inflamed soft tissue with pain-free methods that minimize bleeding. This is a preferred solution for many patients as well as providing an accurate and simple procedure for the dentist.
 

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)

 Lasers are finding an increasing number of applications for patient treatment, particularly for treating nerves and soft tissue. Cold laser therapy, also called Low Level Laser Therapy or LLLT is a medical and veterinary treatment used for a variety of conditions. Lasers can be used to either inhibit or stimulate cells. They can also be used to stimulate drugs within the body to create a reaction which helps in a patients treatment. LLLT has been used to treat a range of conditions including soft tissue injuries, wound healing and nerve regeneration.

 LED illumination with its high brightness, compact nature and range of available wavelengths is ideal for many applications in the healthcare industry. LED lighting provides an ideal light source for intra-oral scanners for dental imaging and with our Chip-on–Board technology, ProPhotonix can provide extremely compact designs whilst achieving the brightness and uniformity required for such an application.

LEDs are also used in digital x-ray readers to remove x-ray images from plates prior to re-use. The reliability of LED products is an extremely important attribute in this process as it prevents any ghost images which interfere with diagnosis.
