Universal adaptors and multiple receptacle packaging

Receptacle Packaged laser diodes are suitable for OEM applications ranging from scientific equipment and optical instruments requiring a laser diode light source to visual fibre optic fault locators for communications networks, telecomms systems and instrumentation and free space optical communications.

The universal adaptors are fitted with a split sleeve alignment mechanism, which gives better than 1dB repeatability on coupling.

The packaged laser diodes are multi-quantum-well structure (MQW), have a built-in InGaAs monitor photodiode and a hermetically sealed active component.

Custom receptacle packaged laser diodes can be fitted with any 5.6mm package laser diode that a customer may require for their particular application.

The receptacle-packaged diodes are packaged in either SMA, FC, ST or SC receptacles or with a universal adaptor that will accept FC, ST, SC and most other 2.5mm diameter ferrule connectors for user-supplied fiber coupling, allowing for singlemode or multimode fibres to be used without additional power loss.
