ProPhotonix operates an extensive clean room and microfabrication facility. This facility is equipped with a variety of devices that serve in the manufacturing of the company's illumination. The company's clean room is particularly well-equipped for the hermetic packaging of laser and light-emitting diodes, and for the metallized fiber pigtailing and alignment of these light sources.
Other in-house capabilities include a Citizen M32 automatic sliding head machining centre which enables production of complex mechanical components up to 32mm in diameter in short cycle times, a prototype machine centre, 3D CAD mechanical design, optical modelling, electronic design, laser beam profiling and wavelength measurement.
Operating a state-of-the-art microfabrication facility, ProPhotonix is ideally equipped for supporting strategic partnerships in photonics research. We welcome the opportunity to assist our clients in the development of new, technically challenging technologies and products.
